分段生死與變易生死。 分段生死是三界內凡夫的生死輪迴流轉， 有身分形段可見的； 變易生死是三界外聖者的生死， 已無生死輪迴的身分形段， 祇是在心念的生生滅滅不停， 是精神上的生死。 菩薩斷除根本無明， 才無變易生死。
